Gome to Terminate CRT TV Sales in Tier-1 Cities

Home appliance and consumer electronics retailer Gome (0493.HK) has placed orders for RMB 31.6 bln worth of flat-panel televisions from color television manufacturers Sharp, Sony, Skyworth (0751.HK), Hisense (600060.SH), Konka (200016.SZ, 000016.SZ), Toshiba, TCL Multimedia (1070.HK), Changhong (600839.SH), Panasonic and LG. The company also announced it would be eliminating the sale of CRT televisions in first-tier cities throughout China.
