CDC to Unify Game Brands

17173.com, 10/25/08

Speaking recently at the 6th China International Digital Content Expo in Beijing, Xuan Wenhao, COO of Chinese online game developer and operator CDC Games, stated that parent company CDC Corporation (Nasdaq: CHINA) plans to unify its subsidiary gaming brands under the single title of "CDC Games". Both Optic Communications and 17Game will be abandoned as brand names.

Xuan stated that the unification of e-mail accounts and systems at its gaming subsidiaries is already under way. After the brand unification is complete, the CDC Games department will still belong to CDC Corporation as a separate business unit, similar to CDC's China.com (8006.HK) portal and enterprise software units.
