Game Company Lands Softbank Investment

A source has revealed that online game developer Beijing Kylin Game has received a USD 10 mln loan from a number of investment organizations including Softbank.

Kylin was founded in July 2007 by Shang Jin, the former founder of Kingsoft's (3888.HK) Liehuo Workshop and developer of Kingsoft's ‘The First Myth' and Sohu's (Nasdaq: SOHU) ‘Tian Long Ba Bu'. The company is currently developing a new MMORPG titled "Chinggis Khan" (Genghis Khan).

Previously, Kylin had announced that it had received an investment of RMB 40 mln. The new investment is its second; details remain unclear at present.
