C114, 11/06/08

China Telecom (NYSE: CHA; 0728.HK) subsidiary Neijiang Telecom in Sichuan province is partnering with the city's board of education on creating a student data management system that will allow for the unified management of student data from primary and middle schools throughout the city.

After the system is implemented, each student will receive a digital student data card with a unique identifier matching the student to all of their records. Entering the number into the data management platform will allow the retrieval of all of the student's records.
