MIIT Expects 3G Investment of RMB 200 Bln in 2009

At a State Council Information Office (SCIO) press conference today, Li Yizhong, Minister of Industry and Information Technology, said that the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology (MIIT) will, after consideration, issue 3G licenses at the end of this year and the start of the next.
After the licenses are issued, Li predicted, the 3G industry could see investments of at least RMB 200 bln.
