Focus Media to Reconsider Allyes IPO

Sina Tech, 12/23/08

CEO of Focus Media (Nasdaq: FMCN), Jason Jiang, has said that his company is to reconsider IPO plans for its online advertising subsidiary Allyes, and that after the sale of its out-of-home advertising network to Sina, Allyes comprises Focus Media's main remaining business.

On September 19, 2008 Focus Media announced that an initial application to list Allyes AdNetwork had been submitted to the US Securities and Exchange Commission.

Editor's Note: It was recently reported that Focus Media had unofficially announced plans to sell Allyes to Google. For more background on this topic, please see "Rumor: Google to Purchase Allyes", MD 12/19/08 issue.
