Joy.cn Boosts Investment in News Content

Chinese video site Joy.cn has announced the launch of a "news cube" strategy, in which it will invest RMB 80 mln in news content.
VP Chen Zhihua said that the first RMB 30 mln will be used to purchase news video content and variety programming, followed by another RMB 30 mln in original content, while the final RMB 20 mln will be invested in hardware for upgrading and rebuilding Joy.cn's studios in Beijing, Shanghai and Guangzhou, and to open offices in Hong Kong and Taiwan.
