Dangdang to Build East China HQ in Wuxi

Netease Tech, 5/20/10

Chinese B2C e-commerce site Dangdang has announced that on May 19, it signed an investment agreement with the Wuxi municipal government at the Wuxi High Tech Industrial Development Zone to build Dangdang's new East China headquarters, comprising a logistics center and offices covering nearly 27 acres and housing more than 80,000 square meters of floor space, in the Wuxi Airport Park. The logistics center will make use of a number of Machine-to-Machine (M2M) technologies.

Dangdang co-president Peggy Yu said that following completion, the Wuxi logistics center will be the most important base in China for Dangdang's nationwide sales network. The logistics center, which is to have a capacity for nearly 1 mln products, will provide full coverage for the entire East China region, while providing partial support for sales in the South China region.
