China Unicom: No iPhone 4G Release Date

Li Gang, VP of China Unicom (NYSE: CHU; 0762.HK; 600050.SH), revealed recently that China Unicom is in discussion with Apple regarding the iPhone 4G, but has no specific timetable for when the smartphone will reach the China market. Li confirmed that China Unicom's UniStore app store is expected to go into official operation in July.

Editor's Note: In a separate report, DoNews cited an industry source saying that China Unicom is testing Micro SIM cards in preparation for Apple's latest products.
