Kingtone Q1 FY2010 Profit Up 64% YoY

Chinese wireless software solutions provider Kingtone Wirelessinfo Solution Holding (Nasdaq: KONE) today announced its unaudited financial results for the first quarter ended December 31, 2009 of fiscal year 2010, with net revenues up 43.7% YoY to reach USD 3 mln.
Net income for the quarter rose 63.6% YoY to USD 1.76 mln.
Revenue from software solutions increased by 23.1% to USD 2.15 mln compared to USD 1.74 mln a year ago, mainly due to increased demand for Kingtone's vertical industry mobile enterprise application in Emergency response and Insurance claim.
Revenue from wireless system solution increased by 154.5% to USD 0.83 mln compared to USD 0.33 mln in the prior year, as Kingtone expanded industrial automation projects to new customers.
Kingtone expects to generate total revenues for the full fiscal year of 2010 in the range of USD 15.6 mln to USD 17.4 mln, as compared to total revenues of USD 11.2 mln for the full fiscal year of 2009, and net income for the full fiscal year of 2010 in the range of USD 7.6 mln and USD 8.1 mln, as compared to net income of USD 5.3 mln for the full fiscal year of 2009.
