Rumor: Mayi CEO Heads Baidu's New SNS Department

A source close to Mai Tian, the CEO and founder of Chinese social network site Mayi.com, has said that Mai Tian has joined Chinese internet company Baidu (Nasdaq: BIDU) as director of the company's new social network division. Mai dismissed the news as rumor, but did not deny the report outright. Baidu's social network division, which is still hiring, is to be separate from the Baidu Space and Baidu Post Bar social products.
An industry source said that Mayi.com is currently facing extreme difficulties in operation, but that the site is still accessible as usual.
