State Grid, China Telecom Sign Smart Grid Partnership

The State Grid Corporation of China (SGCC) and China Telecom (NYSE: CHA; 0728.HK) signed an agreement in Beijing this weekend to partner on smart grid construction, with a focus on power fiber-to-the-home (PFTTH) projects.
According to the agreement, the two parties will share infrastructure resources in pushing FTTH construction, and cooperate on market resources to develop fiber optic access, broadband services, integrated services, and industry applications.
