Netease Youdao Begins Closed Beta Testing of Ad Union

Chinese internet company Netease (Nasdaq: NTES), operator of the Youdao search engine, has begun closed beta of a new Youdao Union advertising product, and has teamed with sites including China.com (8006.HK) on joint testing.

The service provides contextually relevant search advertising content to independent website operators who can earn a commission based on clicks. At present, users must receive an invitation code to register an account, but can apply online for a code on the service's registration page.

Editor's Note: According to a report from Tencent Tech, Youdao will offer member sites revenue share of between 60-80%.
