Lenovo to Release Android Tablet PC

Liu Jun, senior VP and president of the Products Group at Lenovo (0992.HK), has revealed that Lenovo will release an Android-powered tablet PC, the LePad, by the end of the year. Liu said the tablet is a critical part of Lenovo's mobile internet strategy and has been a priority for the Group's senior management.
Liu did not disclose launch dates for Lenovo's Skylight smartbook and IdeaPad U1 Hybrid, and would not comment on similarities or differences between those two products and the LePad.
Liu revealed that the LePad would resemble a large version of Lenovo's LePhone smartphone.
