Netease Tech, 8/04/10

Chinese department store chain Intime Group has announced that its apparel e-commerce site Yintai.com would begin accepting public registrations today in advance of an expected October launch.

The site has reportedly been in the works for two years, and began by opening a fashion news channel on May 15 of this year. A spokesperson for the site said that it had already signed authorization agreements with several hundred brands, has completed work on a 20,000 square meter warehouse in Zhejiang province, and is currently training customer service representatives.

The Intime Group announced that it had invested USD 10 mln in creating the Yintai.com online platform, with the goal of achieving RMB 1 bln in sales within two years' time.
