Shanda Games Acquires Eyedentity Games

Online game developer and operator Shanda Games (Nasdaq: GAME), a subsidiary of Shanda Interactive (Nasdaq: SNDA), today announced that it has reached an agreement to acquire South Korean online game developer Eyedentity Games for USD 95 mln in cash. The acquisition of Eyedentity, which developed Shanda Games' recently launched 3D MMORPG Dragon Nest, expands Shanda Games' overseas presence with the addition of Eyedentity's internationally licensed online game portfolio and strengthens its in-house online game development capabilities.

Dragon Nest has already been licensed to partners in Korea, Japan, China, Taiwan, Southeast Asia, and the U.S. to date and has since been successfully launched in Korea, Japan and China.

The closing of the transaction is subject to standard closing conditions. The parties expect to close the transaction in the third quarter of 2010.
