Lashou to Open Taiwan Group Buying Channel

Chinese group buy site Lashou is preparing to open a Taiwan channel (lashou.com.tw). CEO Wu Bo previously visited Taipei to discuss a group buying project with local internet companies, and has now completed arrangements and plans to launch the channel in the near future.

According to an anonymous source at Lashou, the company has already made arrangements for offline marketing, the website interface and the backend financial transaction system, but encountered difficulties when registering domain names. Lashou registered "Lashou.tw" on June 19, but discovered that the domain name "Lashou.com.tw" was registered by a Taiwanese firm called "EZ Interactive Network Inc." on June 15. The two companies are currently in negotiations, and the source commented that because it is clear Lashou wants the domain name, it is unlikely the price will be low.
