Foxconn to Raise Wages for Mainland Employees

A spokesperson for Taiwanese contract manufacturer Foxconn (2038.HK; 2354.TW) announced today that the company will raise employee wages as of October 1. The spokesperson said that Shenzhen-area entry-level employees who meet requirements will see their wages rise to at least RMB 2,000 per month. Wages for entry-level employees at all Foxconn plants on the Chinese mainland will rise, based on minimum wages set by local governments, by at least RMB 400 per month.
