Sina Prepares NBA Mobile Game, Mobile TV

Following the announcement of Chinese internet company Sina's (Nasdaq: SINA) partnership with the NBA, the WAP-based "Fantasy NBA" mobile game began open beta testing on October 25 and will launch in late November. Sina has teamed up with China Mobile (NYSE: CHL; 0941.HK) and BesTV, Shanghai Media Group (SMG)'s IPTV operations subsidiary, to broadcast live NBA games to users' handsets. Sina users can watch the broadcasts for free by downloading China Mobile's mobile TV application available for Symbian and Java-compatible handsets.
