Rumor: Joyport Browser Game Team Resigns En Masse

DoNews, 12/16/10

An online source reports that the team for Hangzhou-based browser game developer and operator Joyport's browser game Kingory has resigned en masse and received an eight-figure investment from a listed company based in Shenzhen. The source said that departed staff include Kingory's producer, chief designer, chief engineer, and other core team members.

Shenzhen-based online game developer and operator ZQGame (Zhongqingbao Interaction Network) (300052.SZ) browser games subsidiary Shenzhen Ucjoy Interactive Network Technology Co., Ltd. reportedly contacted members of the Kingory team in October, and invested in the team in early November. When contacted, Ucjoy director of operations Ren Hao denied that the company had poached employees from Joyport.
