Shanda Games President Resigns to Launch Mobile Game Start-Up

Ling Hai today confirmed to Tencent Tech that he has resigned as president of Shanda Interactive's online game developer and operator subsidiary, Shanda Games (Nasdaq: GAME), to establish a new mobile gaming and social networking start-up, "Hudie Hudong" ("Butterfly Interactive"). Wang Feng, former VP of technology at Shanda Games, has also joined the new start-up.

Ling joined Shanda in 2003, becoming president of Shanda Games in April 2008. Ling was transferred to the parent company in late 2011 to oversee its investment business.
