Beijing-based online game developer and operator Shengshi Interactive Network Technology today announced it has licensed the Korean operating rights to its self-developed 3D MMORPG Suitang Yanyi Online to Korean game operator SG Internet for a seven-figure USD sum.

Shengshi CEO Feng Baoshun said that the game fared well with 1 mln closed beta testers and peak concurrent users (PCU) reaching 100,000 on March 22, with PCU later rising to 150,000 by April 28. The game currently generates over RMB 15 mln in monthly revenue.

SG Internet plans to complete localization work by September followed by a marketing campaign in October, and expects monthly sales to reach KRW 3 bln (USD 2.5 mln).

In addition to the seven-figure USD licensing fee, SG Internet will also pay a monthly revenue share to Shengshi Interactive, and collaborate on improving the product line.
