Netease Lands 2012 Olympics Online Broadcasting Rights from CNTV

Chinese internet portal Netease (Nasdaq: NTES) announced today that it has signed an agreement with CCTV's national online TV station, CNTV, to license online video rights to coverage of the 2012 London Olympics as a strategic partner of CNTV.

Under the terms of the agreement, Netease received online video rights to content including the opening and closing ceremonies and competition events of the Olympic Games. From July 27 to August 13, internet users will be able to log onto Netease's portal to watch the games.
