MIIT to Issue TD-LTE Spectrum Plan in One Month

Xie Feibo, head of the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology's (MIIT) State Radio Regulatory Commission (SRRC), recently announced at the 2012 Next Generation Broadband Wireless Mobile Communication Development Forum in Beijing that LTE spectrum plans will be released within a month, and will replace outdated technology and efficiently allocate spectrum for 4G networks.

MIIT announced in early 2012 that 1.9 GHz F spectrum used by PHS handsets will be allocated for TD-LTE mobile communications systems.
