Rumor: Ex-Lashou VP Founds Online Travel Site

An industry source revealed recently that Song Liming, former VP of Chinese group-buy site Lashou until he left the company in March 2012, has launched an online travel startup, Aizhouyou.com (literally, "Love Nearby Excursions"). The site has already received funding.

The site features excursion options convenient to Beijing. At present, Aizhouyou.com offers only farmhouse stays, vacation resorts, park tickets, and guided tours of scenic areas.

When contacted, Song confirmed his involvement in Aizhouyou.com, though he declined to divulge any further details. When asked for the identity of the site's investors and the amount of the investment, Song declined to comment, saying that he would have to consult with coworkers before answering.
