Mobile Gaming Portal Mofang Lands Angel Funding

Mobile gaming-focused online portal operator Mofang recently announced that it has received RMB 10 mln in angel funding from US venture capital firm Matrix Partners. Mofang founder Wang Jian has matched Matrix Partner's RMB 10 mln investment, bringing the company's current round of angel funding to RMB 20 mln.
The company's recently launched mobile gaming portal Mofang.com will offer mobile game introductions, reviews, and videos. The site offers two unique qualities: the depth of video analysis as a product of Mofang's professional video production center in the company's headquarters in Wuhu, Anhui Province, as well as Mofang's research in algorithms, allowing for accurate recommendations to gamers. In addition, Mofang is planning to establish an online social networking platform.
Currently, Mofang has over 50 employees in Beijing, and many more at the company's headquarters in Wuhu. After the launch of the Mofang.com web portal, the company plans to release several new mobile products in August.
