Qihoo 360 Provides Search Results for Netease's Youdao

Chinese internet services and security software provider Qihoo 360 (NYSE: QIHU) and internet company Netease (Nasdaq: NTES) signed a strategic search engine agreement today. Beginning August 2, Qihoo 360's So.com search engine will provide technical support services for searches on Netease's Youdao search engine, with search results on Youdao now to be provided by So.com.

On the right side of Youdao's search results page a message now displays indicating "technical support provided by Qihoo 360 search." The partnership between the two sites includes web page, news, image, and video search products, but will not involve financial level or advertising services.

The partnership between Qihoo 360 and Netease builds upon a former agreement between the companies signed in December, 2012, under which searches on Youdao drew upon Qihoo 360's "Cloud Security" malicious website catalogue to help users recognize malware and fishing websites. After So.com went online last August, Youdao provided dictionary and online translation services on Qihoo 360's So.com, Qihoo 360 browsers, and online navigation site.
