Rumor: Netease Invests in Game Developer S-Game

According to an industry source, Chinese internet company Netease (Nasdaq: NTES) has invested a USD seven-digit figure in Beijing-based single-player game developer S-Game Network Technology. Netease did not purchase a controlling stake in the company. S-Game has previously received angel investment from ZhenFund.

S-Game is a single-player game developer known for its 2D single-player PC game Rainblood. The newest game in the series, Rainblood: Mirage, was released in China on January 15 of this year and is currently being adapted into a mobile client version.
