Yulong to Release 4-6 LTE Smartphones in H2 2013

Shenzhen-based handset maker Yulong Computer Telecommunication, a subsidiary of China Wireless Technologies (2369.HK), has announced that the company will release four to six 4G LTE smartphones in the second half of 2013. Yulong announced its first ever domestic LTE 4G smartphone this year, the Coolpad 8920, which supports 5 mobile communications standards across 13 frequency bands. The Coolpad 8920 will enter mass production after 4G licenses are issued in China. In H2 2013, Yulong will release a flagship-grade TD-LTE smartphone terminal priced at over RMB 3,000.

Yulong is targeting sales revenue of RMB 30 bln by 2016, and is looking to increase its percentage of revenues derived from overseas sales to 30%, as compared to the current 10%.
