Talkweb Wins Operating Rights for 2 EA Mobile Games

Chinese telecom software developer and wireless value-added services (WVAS) provider Talkweb Information System (002261.SZ) announced today that the company signed a mobile game licensing agreement with US gaming company EA on September 6. According to the agreement, Talkweb is now licensed to operate the Android versions of Plants vs Zombies 2 and Bejeweled Blitz in mainland China. Both games are developed by EA games subsidiary PopCap Games, and Talkweb will retain 25% of all revenues from the operation of the games in China. The two games will be released on major app platforms from China's three major telecom operators, Qihoo 360 (NYSE: QIHU), 91 Wireless, Baidu (Nasdaq: BIDU), and UCWeb.

The iOS version of Plants vs Zombies 2 was released in China in August 2013.
