Rumor: Jingdong to Acquire MediaV for USD 700 Mln

According to sources close to the matter, Beijing-based B2C e-commerce platform Jingdong will soon acquire Shanghai-based online advertising technology and service provider MediaV Advertising for USD 700 mln.

Since 2010, Jingdong has employed MediaV's services for much of its online advertising. Among the top 50 e-commerce sites in China, roughly 80% use MediaV to place online ads.

Representatives from both companies have denied the rumor.
