DSP Advertising Provider Behe Lands RMB 20 Mln Funding

36Kr, 11/20/13

Liu Junfeng, founder of Beijing-based demand-side platform (DSP) advertising provider Behe, has revealed that the company completed RMB 20 mln in first-round funding in July, but declined to provide additional details regarding the investment.

Behe was founded in October 2012 as an intermediary between ad exchange platforms such as Google AdExchange, Taobao's TANX, and Tencent's (0700.HK) Ad Exchange. Behe buys online display advertising space through real time bidding from ad exchanges, which the company then sells to individual advertisers.

Liu previously founded Beijing-based internet advertising agency Yoyi Media, departing in 2012 to focus on Behe's development, which he hopes will close the gap with industry leader MediaV, after catching up to Yoyi Media in just one year. Liu also founded Beijing-based media player software developer Baofeng.
