Xiaomi Tablet to Kick Off OB Testing on June 6

Beijing-based Android device maker Xiaomi today announced that the company will kick off open beta testing of its new tablet product on June 6. Only "hardcore" Xiaomi fans are eligible to participate in the test, and must submit RMB 1 along with their application.
Xiaomi plans to release 500 tablets to "hardcore" fans for testing. To qualify for the test, users must: 1) be a verified Xiaomi VIP user (achieved by previously purchasing a Xiaomi product); 2) register on the Xiaomi community forum before June 6, 2014; and 3) have more than 300 Xiaomi community credits. Users that qualify for the open beta test will have 300 credits deducted from their accounts and must submit a review of the tablet within one week of receiving the product. If users do not submit a review in time, they will be prohibited from participating in any later Xiaomi tests.
