Kunlun Wanwei Licenses Supercell's 'Boom Beach'

Beijing-based video game developer and operator Kunlun Wanwei has licensed the China market operating rights for the Android version of mobile game Boom Beach, developed by Finland's Supercell. Kunlun Wanwei will soon release the game through various Android download channels in China. The company has signed agreements to license mobile games Hay Day and Clash of Clans from Supercell as well.

At the end of April, Kunlun Wanwei issued a prospectus aiming to raise RMB 1.67 bln on ChiNext, the growth enterprise board of the Shenzhen Stock Exchange. The company intends to use RMB 410 mln raised from the offering to develop new mobile games, and spend another RMB 510 mln on mobile game licensing.
