Update: Online Hospital Registration Platform 91160 Wins RMB 130 Mln Series B

Shenzhen-based Ningyuan Technology, operator of online hospital registration platform 91160.com (Jiuyi 160), recently announced it has completed RMB 130 mln Series B funding from Costone Venture Capital and GX Capital.
Jiuyi 160's user base has grown from 10 mln at the end of 2014 to its current 19 mln, a 90% increase. Hospital registrations have increased 35% over the same period, going from 26 mln to 35 mln. Hospital coverage has expanded from 600 to 1,000, 70% growth from December 2014.
China's major tech companies all have deals with Ningyuan to provide Jiuyi 160 services to users. On May 5, the company signed a deal with Alibaba Health Information Technology (0241.HK), an affiliate of Alibaba Group (NYSE: BABA), to partner on online hospital appointments and health consultation services. In April, Chinese internet company Baidu (Nasdaq: BIDU) announced a deal where Jiuyi 160 will provide users of Baidu's "Baidu Doctor" ("Baidu Yishen") mobile healthcare app with hospital appointment booking services as Baidu attempts to develop an online healthcare business in top tier cities. Tencent's (0700.HK) WeChat mobile messaging app also connects to Jiuyi 160 to provide hospital booking services.
