Didi Kuaidi Adjusts Fees Collected from Drivers

Lieyunwang.com, 8/18/16

Xiaoju Kuaizhi Inc ("Didi Kuaidi"), operator of Chinese mobile taxi booking and car hire apps Didi Chuxing and Kuaidi Dache, recently announced that it will eliminate the flat 20%-per-order commission that it previously collected from drivers and will instead collect RMB 0.50 on every order plus a 1.77% management fee, with the remaining taxi fees and other charges retained by the vehicle owner.

Didi Kuaidi said that after this adjustment, income for operators in some cities may increase between 10% and 18%. The fee adjustments are expected to mainly impact drivers, while customers should not be affected. Didi Kuaidi also said that the fee adjustment is intended to make revenue details more transparent and to make drivers' income more stable and less subject to fluctuations in customer volume.
