Beijing-based Gaoxing Network Technology, operator of online and mobile pet travel services platform Dog Where, said today that it completed RMB 8-digit pre-Series A funding in early 2016 from Yingzheng Fund. Funds will mainly be used to improve the platform's products and expand regional coverage.
The Dog Where platform offers pet travel activities including themed travel programs for sea, forest, and desert travel. Each program's tour bus is staffed by medical doctors and photographers, and partnering hotel service providers offer special meals and lodging to accommodate pets. Users can also visit the Dog Where platform to find pet-friendly restaurants, travel information, and vendors of pet supplies. Dog Where also partners with Chinese online travel services firm Qunar (Nasdaq: QUNR), the main shareholders of which are Internet firms Baidu (Nasdaq: BIDU) and Ctrip (Nasdaq: CTRP), to share information about pet-friendly hotels and to resolve hotel reservation issues.
Editor's Note: According to information on the Dog Where website, the platform is available via its website and a mobile app, and users can publish information about offline pet travel activities and sign up for pet travel events online. Gaoxing Network Technology was established in February 2014.
