JD.com Launches Paid Scheduled Delivery Service

Zol.com.cn, 11/28/16

Chinese B2C e-commerce platform JD.com's (Nasdaq: JD) logistics service, JD Logistics, recently launched a new paid "Jing Zhunda" service for customers who need delivery to be made within a specific time window. JD.com users can pay an extra RMB 6 (or RMB 39 for large packages) to specify a time frame during which their package can be delivered. Appointments can be as early as 9:00AM and as late and 10:00PM.

The Jing Zhunda service is currently available in Beijing, Shanghai, Guangzhou, Chengdu, Wuhan, Shenyang, and Xi'an, except for remote suburban addresses.

JD Logistics said that the service will later be expanded to all of its 211 express delivery locations (cities in which orders placed before 11:00AM are eligible for same-day delivery, and orders after 11:00AM are eligible for next-day delivery).
