Beijing-based Hudong Feng Technology, operator of online and mobile doctor's consultation and appointment booking platform Hao Daifu ("Good Doctor"), recently announced that it is soliciting USD 200 mln in new funding, led by Chinese internet and mobile services firm Tencent (0700.HK).
Hao Daifu's customer relations department said that the company completed its investment from Tencent in February 2017.
The department said that following the funding round, Hao Daifu will focus on four strategic areas.
1. Hao Daifu will continue to build up its healthcare resources. As of March 2017, the platform lists more than 490,000 physicians at 7,500 hospitals throughout China, including 145,000 doctors registered under their real names.
2. The platform will continue to focus on outpatient medical care, including online patient management services for doctors and other services for patients. Its outpatient business now serves more than 10 mln users.
3. Hao Daifu connects major hospitals and grassroots medical institutions to form online "medical associations," enabling patients to enjoy remote expert consultation and local services in combination. The platform's network of organizations will cover all of China by the end of 2017.
4. Hao Daifu's next major goal is to offer commercial medical insurance products for medical services.
