Authorities Crack Down on Online Lottery Sales

In a joint announcement, the Ministry of Finance (MOF), the Ministry of Public Security (MPS), the Ministry of Civil Affairs (MOCA), the Ministry of Information Industry (MII) and the General Administration of Sport (GAS) have indicated they will crack down on the illegal sale of lottery tickets on the Internet in order to preserve order and stability in the lottery ticket market. The announcement demanded that all websites not affiliated with the lottery ticket organization stop selling lottery tickets.
