National Server Standard Goes into Effect

According to Langchao, the Standardization Administration of China and the General Administration of Quality Supervision, Inspection and Quarantine (AQSIQ)'s standard GB/T21028-2007, Information Security Technology: Server Security Requirements, will come into effect December 1. The standard, produced by Langchao on behalf of the two agencies, is China's first server security standard.

Standards for testing and certification of server security products are also being worked on, and are expected to be released in 2008.
