NDRC to Launch Model Informatization Projects

Sohu IT, 3/28/08

The National Development and Reform Commission (NDRC) issued a notice yesterday that beginning in late August of this year, it will begin the first batch of model informatization projects, with test sites to focus on areas including large-scale backbone enterprise system outsourcing services, SME e-commerce services, mobile e-commerce, electronic authentication services, credit data services, amalgamated rural informatization services, and wireless broadcast frequency technology applications.

The main goal and primary task of the informatization test sites will be to hasten the development of the e-commerce service industry, to drive the opening up of governmental digital resources, to attract public capital to investment in public-interest data services, and to stimulate the domestic RFID industry.
