To promote the development of TD-SCDMA, the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology (MIIT), the Chinese National Development and Reform Commission (NDRC), the Ministry of Finance (MOF), the State-owned Assets Supervision and Administration Commission (SASAC), and the Ministry of Science and Technology (MOST) have drafted a series of 15 financial, project, network construction, product R&D, service application, and industry development support policies.
An industry source has revealed that China Mobile (NYSE: CHL; 0941.HK) is currently in negotiations with numerous PC manufacturers including Intel, Asus, BenQ, HP, Dell, Lenovo (0992.HK), Founder Technology Group (600601.SH), and Acer regarding the release of notebook computers with integrated TD-SCDMA Internet data cards.
Chinese online game developer and operator The9 (Nasdaq: NCTY) has announced that its Board of Directors has declared a special cash dividend in an aggregate amount of USD 29.4 mln or approximately of USD 1.11 per share on its ordinary shares, par value USD 0.01 per share, based on the number of shares outstanding.
