Handset Retailer, Nokia Sign USD 1.7 Bln Handset Deal

China P&T Appliances Group's mobile phone retailer subsidiary, China PTAC Communications Services Corp, has signed handset procurement and other strategic cooperation agreements with Nokia China Investment that will see PTAC Communications purchase over USD 1.7 bln in handsets from Nokia. According to the agreements, PTAC Communications and Nokia China Investment will expand strategic cooperation in areas including operator services, 3G product sales and distribution channel development, resource investment, and marketing management.
