Koomail Lands Second-Round Funding

Mail client software provider Koomail has announced that the company received several million RMB from its original investors in its second round of funding, but did not divulge any details. Koomail founder Ouyang Pingping said the funds will be used to grow and solidify the company's position in the market.

Koomail is also currently releasing a new version of its core product, Koomail 5.6, as well as cooperating with Alisoft, a division of B2B e-commerce giant Alibaba, on the development of Alitalk universal e-mail assistant. Alitalk provides a single tool for email alerts, management, sending and receiving. Koolmail received RMB 1.5 mln in its first round of angel investment in 2007.
