China Unicom to Expand WCDMA Trials to 268 Cities

China Unicom (NYSE: CHU; 0762.HK; 600050.SH) recently issued a release stating that given the overall progress of the company's 3G commercial trials, it has decided that starting August 1 the company will further expand 3G commercial trials from the 100 cities in which they are already underway to an additional 168 cities in Zhejiang, Jiangsu, Fujian and Hunan province, bringing the total to 268 cities nationwide.
