China Mobile, Symbian Partner on App Store

On September 8, China Mobile (NYSE: CHL; 0941.HK) announced a partnership with the Symbian Foundation to promote China Mobile's "Mobile Market" app store.
According to the terms of the deal, China Mobile will support Symbian's Horizon plan which allows Symbian developers to publish software on multiple app stores at the same time, which will accelerate the expansion of the Mobile Market catalog. Mobile Market currently has fewer than 2,000 applications available. The Symbian Foundation recently launched an official Chinese language website and plans to open an office in Beijing.
