China Cuts Fixed-Line Fees for First 3 Minutes 50%

Modern Express, 11/25/09

As per the revised regulations concerning local fixed-line tariffs recently jointly issued by China's Ministry of Industry and Information Technology (MIIT) and National Development and Reform Commission (NDRC), the three standard rates for the first three minutes of local fixed-line calls have each been lowered by 50%. Local operators that previously chose sanctioned rates of either RMB 0.18, RMB 0.2 or RMB 0.22 will now offer rates of RMB 0.09, RMB 0.10 or RMB 0.11, respectively.
