Shanghai Browser Game Firm Lands RMB 150 Mln Funding

According to media reports, Shanghai Chenlu Information Technology, the Shanghai-based browser game firm and operator of 9wee.com, has recently received RMB 150 mln in venture capital. Chenlu executives have confirmed that they are discussing raising capital, but because final details have not been determined, no details can yet be made public.

Company executives have confirmed that they are raising capital in preparation for a 2011 IPO, saying that this is the first round of funding, and that afterwards the company will make further financial moves. Following this round of financing, Chenlu will conduct a stock restructuring, prepare materials for its IPO, and conduct an internal reorganization.

Chenlu, products of which include 'Wulin Sanguo' and 'Wulin Yingxiong', entered the browser game market in 2006.

Editor's Note: According to other reports, Chenlu received RMB 150 mln from Shanghai Zijiang Venture Capital's Fudan Fund.
