HP China to Expand SME, Rural Sales Channels

HP China announced today that, beginning in FY 2010, it will focus heavily on building new channels to SMEs, as well as expanding its reach in rural markets from 2,000 counties to 10,000 townships.
HP China significantly boosted revenues from SMEs in 2009 with a similar approach, recording 20% YoY growth in operating revenues in Q4 2009.
Fu Yunping, VP and GM of channel partner business, expects the 2010 plan to cover 15 major industries and 148 secondary industries, as well as develop customers for related solutions and services.
